Poem-A-Week
Let Them Be
by Karthik Keramalu
Let your hands find companionship
in solace and solitude.
They may abhor the empty space
around them, but let them be;
let them wail and wonder,
let them rise and fall,
let them grow impatient and
remain indifferent,
the world is theirs to build
the love is theirs to cherish,
let them weed through fields of
dry summers and cut through
torrents of rain,
let them find their brothers in war,
let them make music in times of
recession,
let them be, let them be.
